Matures in about 70 days. This delicious Italian-American heirloom produces 5- to 8-inch blue-green heads and many tender side shoots. It is a great choice for both market gardening and home gardening. It was brought to America from Calabria, Italy in the 1800s.

Green Sprouting Calabrese Broccoli
Plant 12 inches apart. Avoid providing too much nitrogen and keep evenly moist. Broccoli likes cool weather and will head too early in warm temperatures. Harvest the heads before the individual flowers mature and begin to open.
You may preorder your seedlings through March 10th, after which limited stock will be available. Shipping is not available at this time for plants. Seedlings are available for local pick up and drop sites (additional drop site fee) near Clear Lake, MN. Pick up dates are variable based on frost dates but will be on average mid-May. Payment is due before pick up, which will be arranged once planting time gets closer.
