Matures in 85-90 days to 6-10 pounds. This is a large drumhead cabbage that is very cold hardy. A fall/winter type cabbage that stores quite well. Known as an old German kraut variety, it appeared in seed catalogs as far back as the 1870s.

Seedlings are available for local pick up and drop sites (additional drop site fee) near Clear Lake, MN. Pick up dates are variable based on frost dates but will be on average mid-May. Payment is due before pick up, which will be arranged once planting time gets closer.
