Cauliflower, Purple of Sicily
Plant 18-20 inches apart. Purple of Sicily cauliflower requires consistent moisture. Fertilize the plants during the growing season, especially with nitrogen-rich compost or organic fertilizer. Protect the plants from pests with row covers or organic pesticides. The heads turn a brilliant purple when exposed to sunlight but can be blanched by tying the leaves over the heads if you prefer a milder flavor.
You may preorder your seedlings through March 10th, after which limited stock will be available. Shipping is not available at this time for plants. Seedlings are available for local pick up and drop sites (additional drop site fee) near Clear Lake, MN. Pick up dates are variable based on frost dates but will be on average mid-May. Payment is due before pick up, which will be arranged once planting time gets closer.
