Prolific and easy to grow plant that grows at least 3-4 feet wide and tall. The fruit is sweeter than the green variety. The more sun, the more purple the fruit. The fruit keeps well in the fridge for awhile and also freezes well dehusked. Fruit is ripe when it fills out and bursts open the husk. It will sprawl unless staked. Harvest in 70-80 days.

Purple Tomatillo
You can train this up a trellis or in a cage, or cascading over a wall. It loves to sprawl. Mid to end of August, begin to pinch back flowers and stems without fruit to promote full growth of set fruit.
You may preorder your seedlings through March 10th, after which limited stock will be available. Shipping is not available at this time for plants. Seedlings are available for local pick up and drop sites (additional drop site fee) near Clear Lake, MN. Pick up dates are variable based on frost dates but will be on average mid-May. Payment is due before pick up, which will be arranged once planting time gets closer.
